Scouting in Tejero officialy began on July 1997 when the Night High School Department was formally established with Mr. Timoteo Valmoria as its first secondary principal and Institutional Head of the Scouting Unit. The following month, August 1997, Mr. Romeo Lisondra, the Institutional Representative of the Elementary Department and the, back then, Asst. Principal of the school, wished to obtain an official trainor for their young scouts.
Meanwhile, alumni Scouts of the University of the Visayas, at that time, was still enthusiastic with Scouting, and, as Scouts themselves would like to share their knowledge on the field. They were Sctr. Alan Guiņares and Sctr. Frederick Rosales, and together with them are their former Staff: Scouters Garry Lao, Joseph Sison, Jay Sirad and Michael Pertila.
Upon hearing this, Mr. Lisondra started to communicate with them to make them as official trainors of the elementary and secondary students of Tejero Elementary and Night High School. After that came the Golden Age of Scouting in Tejero...

And until now, together with the new set of staffs and scouters, will make sure that Scouting in Tejero would once again take its place in the ladder of the field of Scouting and would produce the greatest Scouts Cebu and the whole country would ever yield.
